Safer Needles Now! has been established by the Safer Needles Network to promote the full implementation of the new Department of Health guidance designed to minimise needlestick injuries in the NHS.
The Safer Needles Network aims to assist in the reduction in the number of needlestick injuries. This will be achieved by promoting preventive measures and safer systems of working such as:

The membership of the Safer Needles Network is drawn from the organisations that represent workers, such as trade unions and professional organisations, individual clinicians with expertise in this area and manufacturers of the different technologies.
